Do you need a thermal oil heater?
ZAFA Thermal oil heater
ZAFA thermal oil heaters for heat transfer oil according to DIN 4754 are based on a forced circulation heater in three-pass design. The pressure body consists of a cylindrical combustion chamber (radiation part) and a downstream convection heating surface.
The production takes place exclusively at ZAFA in accordance with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and the AD-2000 regulations with TÜV approval and CE mark.
Parallel to the in-process quality assurance procedure, each ZAFA thermal oil heater is subjected to a functional check after it has been completed into a ready-to-operate, ready-to-connect unit.

Thermal oil heater - Accessories
Drain tanks
Steel vessel in horizontal round design with two saddle feet for holding the heat transfer medium (total volume) in accordance with DIN 4754. Heat transfer oil systems with a total volume of more than 1000 litres must be equipped with a drain vessel in order to be able to drain at least the largest possible part of the system that can be shut off (boiler house). All connection nozzles are designed as weld-on ends. The nominal widths are based on the heater output in accordance with DIN 4754.
Expansion tanks
Steel tank in horizontal round design with two saddle feet, manufactured according to DIN 4754 for pressureless absorption of the thermal expansion between cold and hot condition of the heater. The expansion or volume increase of the heat transfer medium is approx. 20% at 290°C flow temperature. All connection pieces are designed as weld-on ends. The nominal diameters are based on the heater output in accordance with DIN 4754. The equipment includes a type-tested float switch and a test valve.
Secondary circuits
Secondary circuits for precise control of temperature for multiple consumers. Secondary circuit consists of
Volute casing centrifugal pump to DIN 24255 made of nodular cast iron JS1049 for thermal oil up to 350 degrees, in uncooled design. Shaft sealing by means of glandless mechanical seal. The circulation pump with fittings listed below are assembled and piped on a common base frame to form a compact unit. Control system included.
